What is this, momma?
It's lace.
What is lace?
It's a type of fabric.
What is fabric made of?
It's made of thread.
What is thread, momma?
It's kind of like string.
What is string made of?
I'm at a loss. How far is this interrogation going to go? I love the questions, I love the curiosity but I'm worried about questions I won't know the answer to. In the end, God. Because the beginning started with God. All the world and everything in it, created first by Creator God. It all comes back to a good, kind, loving God whose power and might are greater than any other force on this earth.
The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; Psalm 24: 1
Which questions haunt you?
Which things make you wonder about how all of this really works? Lace is really one of the simplest to explain compared to the things most of us wrestle with in our heart of hearts.
Does it help to trace it all back to one thing: a God who loves us so much he gave us the world and released us into that world with the blessing and curse of free will?
It all comes back to a good, generous, benevolent God whose power and might can overcome any other force on this earth.
He is before all things, and in him all things hold together - Colossians 1:17
